Often the need is in plain view. A special book of photos is available for a mimimum donation of $50. All proceeds will go directly to the Harbor Springs Food Pantry.

3rd Annual Scottish Highland Dance competition drawing dancers ages 4 and up from all over Michigan and several other Midwest states plus Ontario. Features live pipers and judging all day. Cost $3. Castle Farms is proud to host the annual Royal Craft Show in beautiful Charlevoix, Michigan on Labor Day Weekend. The grounds and buildings of Castle Farms will be the host to one of Michigan's most prestigious craft shows where thousands of visitors will attend this event. This craft show will feature only the finest arts and crafts that can be found and will be held in one of the most affluent areas in the state.
The Royal Craft Show hours are Saturday, 10am – 5pm, and Sunday, 10am – 4pm. Free parking with a $3.00 per person admission fee. Children under 12 are admitted free. Food is available at a nominal charge. Pets are not allowed.

As a distribution center, Manna provides product to 32 pantries throughout Emmet, Antrim, and Charlevoix Counties. In 2009, the organization helped to distribute over 1,700,000 meals to families in need. PRICE: $100 per guest ($40 for dinner only).

A little-known page in Fort Mackinac’s history will be revealed when a group of 16th Michigan Company reenactors depicting the Stanton Guard and the 3rd U.S. Infantry are hosted at Fort Mackinac. Over 40 men and women, dressed in Civil War-era attire, will portray this intriguing time. Some will be costumed as the Stanton Guard; others will reenact the 1822 3rd U.S. Infantry unit. Others represent civilian life in the fort, including the families of soldiers. No additional admission charge for this special event above standard Fort Mackinac admission rates.

Char-Em United Way is hosting the 7th Annual Day of Caring on Tuesday, September 14th. Community volunteers come together to complete projects for non-profits, governmental agencies and schools who don't have the staff time to complete all the projects without help.

Fall colors begin to show, cool crisp air and spectacular scenic roads with minimal traffic welcome you on this fantastic ride. Choose a 20 mile, 42 mile or 62 mile route to bicycle, all routes include the famous Tunnel of Trees.
The ride includes route map, sag service, great refreshment stops, and BBQ lunch. $25 per person in advance. Add $5 to register at the event.
Lodging packages are available at the host property, Birchwood Inn.

Women from all over Northern Michigan will gather on Saturday, September 18 at Harbor Light Community Chapel in Harbor Springs to spend time hearing from author Beth Moore at LifeWay Women’s Living Proof LIVE Simulcast event.
Moore, whose books and studies, including Breaking Free and Esther: It’s Tough Being a Woman, have been read by millions around the world, is known for her ability to apply biblical scripture to everyday life. The event brings her teaching to life as she offers insights that touch the hearts of all women, regardless of their age, race or denomination.
Acclaimed worship leader Travis Cottrell and his Praise Team will join Moore for the event. The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 18 from 10:00am - 5:00pm. All seats are $25 prior to September 9th and $35 after September 9th and at the door (if available). Admission includes a full day of music and worship, sessions led by Beth Moore, lunch, an afternoon snack, and opportunities for fellowship with others.

This re-enactment group joins the interpretive staff in demonstrations of British military life in the 1770'. They will occupy the fort's Guard House showcasing typical daily activities of the King's 8th while stationed at Michilimackinac. No additional admission charge for this special event above standard Colonial Michilimackinac admission rates.

Fall is a beautiful time of the year to gather with friends and play cards! Join the tournament at Birchwood Inn and play six matches over three rounds from Monday afternoon through mid-day Tuesday.
The tournament includes bridge play, dinner, champagne afterglow, continental breakfast and awards luncheon. The lodging package is only $189 per team and the non-lodging package is just $129 per team.
