Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra presents Lux Aeterna and Mozart
In the wake of the devastating ice storm, the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO) is offering its April 25 concert – Lux Aeterna / Eternal Light – FREE to the public, as a gift of comfort, healing, and light for the community.
Featuring music that embraces light as a symbol of peace and hope, the evening will include Morten Lauridsen’s beloved choral work Lux Aeterna – Latin for “eternal light” – and Mozart’s Symphony No. 25. The orchestra, conducted by Libor Ondras, will be joined by the GLCO chorus led by Andre Strydom.
Presented in the breathtaking acoustics of St. Francis Xavier Church in Petoskey, this program promises a deeply moving experience that honor both resilience and renewal.
No tickets are necessary for the 7 PM concert at 513 Howard St.
Doors open at 6:30 PM.
