What is a Chamber Ambassador?
A Chamber Ambassador is a dedicated volunteer who contributes to the success of the Chamber by supporting its mission and strengthening the local business community. Ambassadors represent a vital link between the Chamber, its members, and the community by promoting member engagement, increasing member retention, and fostering goodwill.
Purpose of the Chamber Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program exists to enhance the overall experience of Chamber members by:
- Promoting membership growth.
- Supporting new member recruitment and onboarding.
- Increasing awareness of Chamber activities and resources.
- Encouraging active involvement in Chamber programs.
- Helping to foster a thriving business community.
Benefits of Being a Chamber Ambassador
Ambassadors enjoy numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth:
- Recognition & Visibility—Ambassadors' names, photos, and business contact information are prominently featured on the Chamber’s website.
- Relationship Building - Build meaningful connections with Chamber members, business owners, and community leaders.
- Leadership Development - Gain valuable leadership experience and deepen your knowledge of the Harbor Springs area and community.
- Appreciation - Receive recognition at the Chamber’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Event.
- Pride & Representation - Represent the Chamber by wearing official Ambassador apparel at events. (The Ambassador should wear name tags at all Chamber functions. Apparel costs and possible costs to the recipient are based on the budget of the Ambassador committee. Each Ambassador is eligible for apparel one year after being part of the Ambassador team and participating in the abovementioned expectations.)
